I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Poole High School.
Our school is an over-subscribed, 12-18 comprehensive serving the historic town of Poole on the Dorset coast. We currently have around 1650 students on roll, with over 350 in our senior school (the sixth form).
Our aim is to ensure that every one of these students has the best possible opportunity to achieve their full potential in all that they do and to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to deal successfully with challenges of their future lives.
We have a superb staff team, fantastic students and a wonderful learning environment which has benefited from an extensive new buildings programme and is set within attractive landscaped grounds.

Ofsted inspection December 2011:Ofsted carried out a full inspection at the end of last term of every aspect of both the main school and the Senior School. Ofsted’s overall judgment of the school is “Good” and some aspects were identified as “Outstanding”. This is a tremendous achievement and reflects a huge amount of hard work and commitment by students, their parents and the school staff during the last 12 months since the previous full inspection. I am extremely proud of the whole school community for this success. The inspectors asked us to pass on their compliments about our school community. They were very impressed by how polite and considerate students were and by the courtesy and kindness they witnessed. They also said how well behaved our students were and that the work in lessons was a credit to the students themselves and their parents, as well as their teachers. I would like to add my own thanks and congratulations to all students, parents and staff for their commitment and determination during the past year since our previous full inspection.
